What is YAC?
Established in 1977, the Youth Attention Center (YAC) is a non-profit agency that assists homeless, runaway, and youth who are at risk between the ages of 12-21 in Mecosta , Osceola and Newaygo Counties.
We are a voluntary, free of charge, confidential service that offers outreach case management, crisis intervention, temporary shelter, and life skills building to youth and their families.
YAC works with other State and County agencies to assist families in
crisis. Our staff also work with area schools to identify and assist at-risk youth who are coping with situations that put them in peril
of running away, becoming homeless, and experiencing
academic failure. Our case workers meet one-on-one with youth and
families to provide case management and advocacy services.
